REASON TO THINK WELCOMES YOU !!!!!

Hi Thinkers,

I am Krupa, a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who loves to teach tiny tots! I have been an educator for 16 years now. Along with ‘teaching’ writing has always been like a vent for my thoughts.

I have started this blog called ‘Reasons to Think’ to pour my thoughts that have been confined in the four walls of my mind. On this blog, I write about general topics that you must have seen written by other writers or heard from some good speakers, but here I present to you my perspective. To be frank, I am not a professional writer but a person who loves to write.

I don’t ask everyone to agree with my views but I would like to make a request to everyone to not jump to conclusions but to first ponder upon the thought and the writing. Just as the name of my blog suggests – Reason to Think, my perspective would triggers you to think. I personally believe that thinking minds can always get rid of problems in life.

Apart from writings I have also focused on creating worksheets and activities for the kids as young as 2+ years, to enhance their cognitive, visual intelligence,, correlation and also to improve child’s concentration. I have also created some “picture interpretation” sheets keeping in mind to develop bonding with teacher or parents and also to escalate kids communication, imagination and creative skills.

OPTIMISM

When ever we are sharing or discussing problems with our friends or family members, we would have heard them saying ” be positive “.

Positivity is nothing but optimistic approach. When we read the word optimist most of us would remember a familiar explanation. ie. When a cup with half filled coffee is served. An optimist will say “ my cup is half filled” where as a pessimist will say “ my cup is half empty”. Both means the same but their way of looking at things differs.

Why is that all people insist positivity at the midst of problems or at the trouble some times?
Its because when you feel your are in deep troubles, you fail to note or understand the positive things which are fused with the problems. So if you start seeing the positive aspects then your troubles will get reduce . When you change your mind-set to optimistic then all the problems will get diminished.

There is a saying
” PESSIMIST SEE DIFFICULTY IN EVERY OPPORTUNITY.
AN OPTIMIST SEE THE OPPORTUNITY IN EVERY DIFFICULTY”

Now we continue with first case:
The man who said ” my cup is half empty” will be unhappy and started to search for reasons why it is half empty.
Let’s just guess what he could think.

  1. Who could have drank, half cup of my coffee?
  2. Is their anyone who purposely filled half cup?

Like wise many unwanted thoughts will arise in his mind which in turn spoils his happiness and peace of mind.

In the case of optimist he won’t have all these unwanted thoughts, so he will be a happy man with clear minds and also carry on with his job.

Now we will see a cases where the optimistic approach becomes essential.
Let’s imagine that:
You brought a brand new car, its a Monday morning and you are driving your brand new car to your office. Now you have entered one of the congested and busiest street of chennai.

Most of you would have guessed it correct, we actually need to be an optimist now.

No matter how cautious are skilled you are, of sure some under skilled driver will come and hit at your car.

With optimistic approach you need to let go that accident.

You should be happy that your car has got only one bang, and rest of the parts are safe.

There is no use in fighting with those people. Instead if you let go the accident you will get the following benefits

a. your blood pressure will be under control.
b. You won’t be stressed out.
c. Your precious time will not get wasted.
d. You will have peace of mind to do your job.

[Do suggest me if I left any advantages from this Let go accident.]

Hope you agree with me the importance of optimistic approach.

We will now see an incident where pessimist attitude will do good.
Say for example: if your mother gives you half filled cup of coffee. How will you react, optimist or pessimist?
I would recommend pessimist approach.

If your mother gives you unusually half cup of coffee, you have to understand that their is something which needs your concern in the house.
It can be anything

  1. Milk man would not delivered the milk on that day.
  2. Mother may not have money to buy milk or coffee powder.
  3. She could have concerned about your health( because you drank more coffee in a day) so she could have reduce your coffee quantity.
  4. She could have spilled the milk by accident.
And the reasons could be many.

Just consider the first 2 cases if you failed to understand the situation, isn’t it inhumane.
Consider the 3rd case if you didn’t questioned then you would have failed to acknowledge your mother’s love and concern.
In this case if you chose optimistic approach you will be considered as more selfish rather then a positive thinker .

From this case we learn that optimistic approach should not be used in all the cases.

But many leading people in the today’s world says that optimism is the key for their success. So we need to understand that optimism should not be followed blindly.

“OPTIMISM IS THE FAITH THAT LEADS TO ACHIEVEMENT”
                              — Helen Keller

“OPTIMISM IT’S NOT JUST A MIND-SET, IT IS BEHAVIOR”
                                    – Larry Elder
